    Published:
Authors: Megan M. Johnson and Rocio Uría-Martínez
    Institution: Oak Ridge National Laboratory

Relicensing is an important milestone in the lifecycle of U.S. FERC-licensed hydropower and pumped storage hydropower (PSH) plants. The terms and conditions of a new license may involve substantial capital investment and changes in mode of operation. Additionally, some licensees decide not to pursue relicensing and instead apply for a license surrender.  The U.S. Hydropower Relicensing […]

    RectifHyd

    DATASET 10.5281/zenodo.6607825

    Published:
Authors: Nelson, Kristian, Sean Turner and Voisin, Nathalie
    Institution: Pacific Northwest National Laboratory

RectifHyd provides estimated monthly hydroelectric power generation for approximately 1,500 power plants in conterminous United States for the period 2001 through 2020. Monthly generation estimates are created by disaggregating each plant’s annual generation with the aid of reservoir operations and downstream streamflow data. RectifHyd provides an alternative to EIA-923 imputed monthly generation for U.S. hydropower plants.
