Overview
The Existing Hydropower Assets (EHA) Unit Database provides a detailed, unit‑level inventory of hydroelectric and pumped‑storage generating units across the United States. The data includes plant and unit identifiers, geographic coordinates, ownership, turbine type, manufacturer, commissioning and refurbishment years, installed capacity, hydraulic head, and other operational characteristics. The dataset covers a wide range of technologies from micro hydro and conduit units to large‑scale pumped‑storage installations and reflects the diversity of U.S. hydro infrastructure through numerous unit configurations, and retrofits.
